Affordable Places To Stay In Sydney, Australia

If somebody is one of the privileged to take a rare vacation in Sydney, the populated city in Australia, then they are really lucky. This beautiful city is filled with beautiful buildings, business, fish, and money. However, there is a downer--the hotels are so much money! Most of them cost at least from a whopping five hundred, to a more reasonable eighty dollars--but it's still too much for the regular vacationer, who need to find the cheapest hotels in Sydney.

There are, however, a few businesses who are there to help--not even asking sixty dollars a night. These nice, affordable rooms vary from regular hotel rooms with two queen beds, to small multi-share rooms for backpackers. They have two things in common: It's a place to stay, and the price is reasonable.

Now here's a list of every one of these great hotels with their details.

First of all, and most expensive of this list, is the Sydney Central Hotel. This historical hotel sits on Wentworth Avenue, and is near several wonderful tourist attractions, including the Australian Museum, Capitol Theater, Sydney Entertainment Center, and the ANZAC War Memorial. The Town Hall--a local landmark--is also nearby, as is the Chinese Garden of Friendship.

There are great facilities at this hotel; each room has cable TV, internet, a tea and coffee maker, and a refrigerator. There's even a open kitchen where a guest can make their own meals, and laundry facilities. The price is only fifty-eight dollars a night.

Next is the beautiful, cheaper Y Hotel Hyde Park, which sits on the Whitlam Square. Many tourist places are close by, some mentioned previously. A few others are the St. Mary's Cathedral--one of the largest churches in the world--and the Pitt Street Mall, Rocks, Sydney Tower, and Opera House.

The facilities are nice, with wireless internet, a hairdryer, a telephone, microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee maker, and even a safe. And don't forget the photocopier, fax machine, laundry area, and cafe. All this for only thirty six dollars a night.

Then there's the Sydney Central Hostel, on Pitt Street, which is near the tourist attractions Powerhouse Museum and Queen Victoria Building, as well as a considerable number of the places mentioned above. A lot of Sydney's famous clubs, cafes, and restaurants are also nearby.

Many types of rooms are available here--double rooms, single rooms, even triple rooms. The rooms themselves have flat screen TVs, refrigerators, and internet access in them. There's even a bar in this hotel! The price? Only thirty-five dollars.

Now let's check out the Maze Backpackers Hotel, also on Pitt Street. As mentioned many tourist attractions sit nearby for a tourist to visit and tour. The rooms in this hotel are pretty average, though they do have a fully-equipped open kitchen. The rooms have irons and ironing boards, TVs, and hairdryers. And all this only costs thirty-five dollars a night.

And last but not least is the Base Backpackers Hotel. Located on Kent Street near several of the places previously mentioned, it is also close to the Sydney Aquarium--one of the biggest aquariums in the world--IMAX Theater, and Pyrmont Bridge.

Here they offer spacious dorm-like rooms with private bathrooms, and while that may be unattractive, they do have an internet corner and a nice lounge bar. This would be a nice place to stay if one doesn't have a lot of money or is alone. And for twenty-eight dollars a night, it's one of the cheapest places around.

So! If a decent place to stay for a while is needed or just a night for an affordable price, check these places out! Saving a couple hundred dollars is important--one really never knows when they might need it.
