There is a fitness center and sauna available with spa, outdoor pool, and jacuzzi. Take your pick of a king bed or two twins or you may desire a suite. Rooms cost AUD $500 and there is a cost for parking at $45.

Observatory Hotel is a pretty boutique hotel that has been awarded several awards for service. It is near the Harbour Bridge and exudes a luxurious and warm atmosphere. Furnishings in the room are made of mahogany and king or twin size beds are adorned with beautiful bedspreads, curtains that look like tapestry, and are equipped with a cushy armchair and breakfast table. Rooms also have a TV with DVD player, Internet, private baths, minibar, coffee maker, safety box and have a desk. Each guest gets a bathrobe and some slippers. Beds are made about 2 meters longer than regular beds for extra comfort. You can get a Superior Room or opt for a Junior Suite that also has a seating area and balcony. The Executive suite have high ceilings and beautiful carved four poster beds. You can expect to pay AUD $550 up to $650 each night you stay. There is a tennis court, spa and a sauna on site. There is a cost for parking at $40 each day and you will have to pay for internet access at $15 an hour.

There are also many moderately priced hotel rooms in Sydney and one is the Holiday Inn Sydney Airport located near Mascot train station. Each room has a private bath and air conditioning and they also have TV, Pay movies, coffee maker, refrigerator and Internet access. There are Standard rooms and Superior Rooms with either queen size or twin size beds that cost about AUD $210 up to about $410 a night. You can get breakfast for free. Take advantage of the fitness center, indoor pool and the sauna.

The business district also has the Medina Grand Sydney where the service is exceptional for a three star hotel. In this hotel you can rent out a room or an apartment with seating areas and kitchens. Rooms are air conditioned Studio rooms are equipped with kitchenette including a microwave and bar refrigerator. You can get internet access and balconies in some rooms. All rooms have TV, radio, phone, and private baths and run AUD $230. There are one bedroom and Two bedroom apartments that have equipped kitchens with dishwashers, seating areas, bathrooms and washer and drier. Bedrooms have either a Queen bed or two twins. One bedrooms cost AUD $300 and two bedrooms are $450. You can visit the sauna, fitness center and indoor swimming pool. Parking is AUD $25 per night and Internet costs $12 an hour.

 

Sometimes the smaller hotels that do not cost as much are the most satisfying and Sydney has many small budget hotels. The Vulcan Hotel located on Wattle Street is one of them. This hotel received the Best Accommodation Hotel in 2008 that was awarded by the Sydney Business Awards. This is a small hotel with only 46 rooms. There are double rooms double beds that cost AUD $278 per night and have a shower, TV, phone, minibar and air conditioning. Or you can choose a superior room for AUD $338 with a queen bed. Parking will cost you about $18 and use of Internet service is $10 an hour.

The Travelodge Sydney is near Central Station and is another great budget hotel on Wentworth Avenue in the city. They offer standard rooms with kitchenette that includes a microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator, air conditioning and a private bath for AUD $250. These rooms have either a double bed or two twin beds and have cable TV and a desk for doing paperwork if on a business trip. Breakfast can be included in cost of the room for a small fee. Also available is a room with three twin beds. Parking costs you $22 each day.

In 2010 you will be able to find all types of accommodations in Sydney. Rooms can run from the luxurious to the budget and all are comfortable and clean. Each hotel is different and always be sure to ask if they have private parking if you are driving. Some do and some have no parking while others have costs attached to them.
