Sydney Tourism: The Area That Aims To Please Visitors

The capital of New South Wales, Australia is Sydney. Established in 1788 as a city, Sydney has a population of about four million people. It is the biggest city in Australia. It is nicknamed the "Harbour City" as it lies on the inlet of the Tasman Sea. Sydney tourism brings a lot of revenue for the city.

If travelling to Sydney, be prepared to see all that the city has to offer. There is such a diverse group of attractions to experience. The gardens offer self guided tours as well as a lunchtime strolls with a local on their guided tours. There are many different species of plants and flowers on display.

Kids and adults alike will enjoy visiting the Taronga Zoo. It has many exhibits from all across the world. There are fun kid friendly educational programs during the holiday breaks. They even offer sleep at the zoo nights. A fun activity is the animal encounter. For an extra fee, a visitor can get up close and personal with koalas, reptiles, owls, seals or giraffes. There is a zookeeper there to assist. There is a diverse population of animals at the zoo. They host just about everything from giraffes and elephants to cobras and the local koala of course.

Bondi Beach is an ultimate getaway location during the summer months. The beautiful white sandy beaches call to all sun worshippers. There is wonderful surf to play and swim in. If you get tired, take a stroll and browse through the many shops and restaurants that are at the beach. The beach is an easy thirty minute drive from downtown Sydney.

Sydney tourism is there for the picking. There are so many activities to do while visiting Sydney it will be hard to choose. From beaches to the zoo and strolling through Royal Gardens, a visitor will find it an amazing city. It offers many assorted activities for the young and old.
